Chartered in 1948, F.O.E. 2839 -No Platte, Ne has grown to over 1300 Aerie members and over 700 Auxiliary members giving the largest membership in Nebraska. The Eagles Club originally was at 6th and Jeffers above the Haws Billiards. The current building at 620 North Chestnut was opened New Years Eve – 1974. Two additions to the original building were added in 1986 and 1992.
Through the years North Platte Aerie has donated over $500,000 to our charities and to the community and surrounding area. In the past 14 years we have been able to donate ‘over $100,000 to the Nebraska Alzheimer’s Walk A Thon. We have also given willingly to Youth Groups, Hospitals, Fire Departments, and numerous other organizations in need, along with contributions to individuals in need. Our participation in NebraskaLand Days with our Pork Chop Breakfast (feeding 1500 to 2000 people in a four hour span), and our Annual Golf Tournament raises over $4,000 annually- all of which is used for charity.
We host Friday night meals, Husker tailgate parties, pool tournaments, offer shuffleboard, host A Super Bowl Fundraiser each year. The dining room is also available to rent for family gatherings. Our volunteers serve a wide variety meals, Meals include Chicken Fried Steaks, Burger Nights, Prime Rib Sandwiches, Pasta, and Husker tailgate parties during football season.
Our Aerie dues currently are $36 for General Memberships and $42 for Benefit Memberships. Dues for Auxiliary members are $19 for Non- Benefit embers and $20 for Benefit Members. Aerie meetings are held on 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 8 pm Auxiliary meetings are held on 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 7 pm.
Club hours are 9 am to 1 am Monday through Saturday and noon to 1 am on Sunday.
